Select Quote should be able to satisfy your needs. Most health plans are covering what you are looking for. Before calling any company, have your questions ready, and space for the response. A good health plan should cost about $350.00 per month, ( average ).

Barack Obama Health Care Plan is All Wrong

August 29, 2010 - 1:48 pm 25 Comments

2 Barack Obama Health Care Plan is All WrongObama uses an insurance paradigm in his plan, and has the government both collecting premiums and calculating deductibles, and at the same time has a watchdog group over “private insurance,” thus creating a ridiculous wasteful competition between public and private, confusing the public with an unnecessary choice, and, again, utilizing the wrong paradigm. We cannot allow either public or private health “insurance” insurance to survive. Abolish health insurance, we must have universal health care funded from tax revenues. We pay our taxes, the government pays for our medical services and drugs.

Health Care Reform, part 1: The Problem

August 29, 2010 - 1:42 pm 6 Comments

2 Health Care Reform, part 1: The ProblemAs our government considers a serious overhaul of our health care system and even a public insurance plan, it is essential that the public understands how more government involvement will impact accessibility, affordability, and quality. Under the direction of Dr. Roger Stark, a retired surgeon with over thirty years of medical experience, Washington Policy Center has launched its 2009 Federal Health Care Reform Project. As part of this project, WPC created these three short, informative health care videos detailing the current state of health care in the U.S., Congress proposed reforms, and practical solutions to the health care crisis. Health care reform is far too important of an issue to be settled outside of the public light. Please forward these videos to your friends and all those who are interested in true health care reform. Consider embedding/linking these videos on your website. We must keep patients in charge of their own health care!

2 South Africa National Health Insurance Plan(www.abndigital.com)
South Africa’s Healthcare Sector is set for huge changes as Government is expected to come out with the white paper on its National Health Insurance Plan next month.
Analysts expect more consolidation to take place among the country’s 114 medical schemes.
This will clearly bode well for major players like Discovery and Metropolitan, who are seeing growth in some of their non-traditional markets as well as for smaller players like Sanlam, who are aggressively trying to gain market share in this space.

Health Insurance Plans

2 Health Insurance Planshttp://www.health-insurancecalifornia.com

3 things to look for when choosing a new health insurance plan:

1. Is my doctor In-Network?

You need to make sure a doctor that you like to go to excepts the new Health Insurance plan. If they do not, you will be paying high Out-of-Network fees.

2. How many office visits do you get before you meet your deductible?

Its good to know have many office visits you get before your deductible is met. If you have a $5,000 deductible and get no office visits until the deductible is met, you will be paying full negotiated price to see your doctor.

3. What is your Out-Of-Pocket Max

Your out-of-pocket max is the most you spend in one year on medical bills (your stop-loss) for the year. It is good to know how much you are in for in the worst case scenario.

If you have to switch to a private medical insurance plan, and you have a chronic illness, is it a pre-exist?

August 28, 2010 - 6:04 am 1 Comment

I just found out I am being laid off in Oct. I have IC (interstial cystisis) which is a chronic painful bladder disorder. Right now i am not on any meds for it, but after exhausting natural options, I was planning on returning to the care of a urologist. My question is, if I apply for a private ins plan will it be considered a pre-existing condition? Do you just never get covered for it again?? I am planning on have no gap in between insurance. I feel terrinble because one of the girls I work with has cervical cancer in the middle of chemo! I am also worried about her.:(
i live in ohio and cobra will only cover for 2 weeks and its $375!!!!

It depends on what state you live in.

Most states, insurance companies ARE allowed to exclude coverage for a preexisting condition, on a PRIVATE policy. If you continue your coverage under COBRA, though, then it’s the same plan, so no exclusion of coverage.

Bottom line – it’s going to depend on which state you live in.
