Does our political, social, corporate, economic system engage in the process of anticipation? Anticipate represents a key foundation item in finding future solutions and avoiding crisis based reaction and failure. We are watching debates framed around rationing, reaction, and a Malthusian shortage. We need to redefine how we discuss issues and concerns towards the concept of “anticipation.” We need to break event driven decision making in government towards a planning based economy rich in research and development. Just who is the real communist, Warren Buffett.

Are you losing savings, losing a job, losing purchasing power, losing hope, or being taxed into oblivion? You are probably not alone. There are millions of Americans in that exact position and they cannot push back. Instead they are all either in despair or they are wandering around aimlessly. They are locked into American fascism between two parties in a single party system offering no choice but destruction of everything considered to be American. The facts can be put on paper and explained plain as day! Is vitriolic rhetoric the way to get people excited? What are the costs of personalizing issues and using propaganda in an ends justifies the means approach? Cut through the rhetoric and the current fascist situation of citizen serfdom inexorably leads to the endpoint of systems collapse. What will it take to change tack?

WASHINGTON—Today AARP announced its endorsement of the Affordable Health Care for America Act (H.R. 3962) and the accompanying Medicare Physician Payment Reform Act (H.R. 3961). The Associations support follows nearly two years of work with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to craft a health care reform plan that meets the needs of AARPs nearly 40 million members and all older Americans. Among those needs are reforms that strictly curb insurance companies discrimination against older Americans and Medicare improvements that strengthen benefits while protecting the program for future generations.
We started this debate more than two years ago with the twin goals of making coverage affordable to our younger members and protecting Medicare for seniors, said AARP CEO Barry Rand. Weve read the Affordable Health Care for America Act and we can say with confidence that it meets those goals with improved benefits for people in Medicare and needed health insurance market reforms to help ensure every American can purchase affordable health coverage.
Todays endorsement marks the first time in this legislative battle that AARP has put its full weight behind a comprehensive health care reform package. In the coming days, AARP will be educating its members about the health care reform package through its publications, paid advertising and more than five million calls and e-mails to its grassroots activists.
As members of the House gear up for this historic vote, they will hear from older Americans, Rand said.
The Affordable Health Care for America Act and the Medicare Physician Payment Reform Act contain critical components AARP has been fighting for on behalf of its members and all older Americans to improve health care for them and their families. They include:
–Protecting and strengthening Medicare for todays seniors and future generations of retirees;
–Ensuring seniors can see the doctor of their choice or find a doctor if they need one by improving Medicares payments to doctors;
–Lowering drug costs for seniors by closing the Medicare Part D doughnut hole and allowing Medicare to negotiate with drug makers for lower drug prices;
–Taking steps to reduce waste, fraud, abuse and inefficiency in the Medicare program;
–Requiring Medicare and insurance companies to provide for important preventive services like screenings for diabetes, cancer and osteoporosis free of charge;
–Stopping insurance companies from denying you affordable coverage because of your age;
– Preventing insurance companies from denying you coverage if you have a pre-existing condition or dropping your coverage if you get sick;
–Limiting how much your insurance company can make you pay out-of-pocket;
–Providing affordable health insurance options for those who dont have insurance; and
–Providing benefits to help seniors and people with disabilities live in their own homes and communities by establishing the Community Living Assistance Services and Supports (CLASS) program.
Rand added: We cannot continue to let insurers price older Americans out of the market, just as we cannot stand idle while millions of seniors are forced to choose between their groceries and their prescriptions. AARP is proud to endorse the Affordable Health Care for America Act and the Medicare Physician Payment Reform Act, and we urge members of the House to pass this critical package in the coming days to help fix our broken health care system.
AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization that helps people 50+ have independence, choice and control in ways that are beneficial and affordable to them and society as a whole. The Clinton health care plan was a 1993 healthcare reform package proposed by the administration of President Bill Clinton and closely associated with the chair of the task force devising the plan, First Lady of the United States Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Bill Clinton had campaigned heavily on health care in the 1992 U.S. presidential election. The task force was created in January 1993, but its own processes were somewhat controversial and drew litigation. Its goal was to come up with a comprehensive plan to provide universal health care for all Americans, which was to be a cornerstone of the administration’s first-term agenda. A major health care speech was delivered by President Clinton to the U.S. Congress in September 1993. The core element of the proposed plan was an enforced mandate for employers to provide health insurance coverage to all of their employees through competitive but closely-regulated health maintenance organizations.
Opposition to the plan was heavy from conservatives, libertarians, and the health insurance industry. The industry produced a much-talked-about television ad, “Harry and Louise”, in an effort to rally public support against the plan. Democrats, instead of uniting behind the President’s original proposal, offered a number of competing plans of their own. By September 1994, the final compromise Democratic bill was declared dead by Senate Majority Leader George J. Mitchell. Opponents of the plan continued to deride it in future years as “HillaryCare.”
Before President Barack Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in March 2010, the United States was the only wealthy, industrialized nation that did not provide some form of universal health care, other than Medicare. Although the United States has never had a universal health care system, it does have certain publicly funded health care programs that help to provide for the elderly and disabled (via Medicare), military service families, veterans (via the Veterans Health Administration), and some of the poor (via Medicaid), and children via S-CHIP. Additionally, federal law guarantees public access to emergency services regardless of ability to pay. Bill Clinton had campaigned heavily on health care in the 1992 election. The 1993 Clinton health care plan is sometimes called “HillaryCare” by opponents.
Hart declined to run for re-election to the Senate, leaving office when his second term expired with the intent of running for president again. In January 1987, he was the clear frontrunner for the Democratic nomination in the 1988 election.
Hart officially declared his candidacy on April 13, 1987. Rumors began circulating nearly immediately that Hart was having an extramarital affair. In an interview that appeared in the New York Times on May 3, 1987, Hart responded to the rumors by daring the press corps: “Follow me around. I don’t care. I’m serious. If anybody wants to put a tail on me, go ahead. They’ll be very bored.” The Miami Herald had been investigating Hart’s alleged womanizing for weeks before the “dare” appeared in the New York Times. Two reporters from the Miami Herald had staked out his residence and observed a young woman leaving Hart’s Washington, D.C., townhouse on the evening of May 2. The Herald published the story on May 3, the same day Hart’s dare appeared in print, and the scandal spread rapidly through the national media. Hart and his allies attacked the Herald for rushing the story into print, claiming that it had unfairly judged the situation without finding out the facts. Hart said that the reporters had not watched both entrances to his home and could not have seen when the young woman entered and left the building. The Miami Herald reporter had flown to Washington, D.C. on the same flight as the woman, identified as Donna Rice. Hart was overwhelmed with questions regarding his views on marital infidelity. His wife, Lee, supported his position that the relationship with the young woman was innocent. A poll of voters in New Hampshire for the New Hampshire Primary showed that Hart’s support had dropped in half, from 32% to 17%, placing him suddenly ten points behind Massachusetts governor Michael Dukakis.

“It’s President Obama’s decision from the get-go to play ball with the insurance industry, to compromise with the insurance industry, to involve them in the process. And, of course, you give them an inch, they take a mile. And what’s left of this bill is a dream for the insurance industry.”

Moments after President Obama’s health care reform address to Congress, Bill O’Reilly and Karl Rove react. here, they debate Obama’s reference to him saying death panels are “a lie, plain and simple.”
In the next segment, White House senior advisor David Axelrod responds to Rove’s comments, and mentions that Sarah Palin is the one who coined the term “death panel” and then called her a hypocrite because she has backed off of the idea. O’Reilly responds by calling the death panel “a dopey idea.”

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says to John King of the proposed health care reform bill: “The vast majority of our members think [it] is a bad idea.”
He adds, “The only thing bipartisan about the measures is the opposition.” And that Democrats “can’t sell [the bill] to their own members.”
King then plays a tape of McConnell saying as Obama was waiting in the wings to enter office: “We fully expect to be a full partner in developing major health care reform.”
Oh, that gotcha journalism!
Also, repeating some of the same talking points in the same interview probably doesn’t help your case, either.
