This episode we discuss the health care reform bill passed by the House and the swine flu and the vaccine controversy. We talk about the public option and whether it will be effective, forced health insurance and a possible big handout to the insurance industry, and the H1N1 (swine flu) virus, how serious a threat it might actually be, and we try to make some sense out of the vaccine controversy. And we go on some interesting tangents on the economy in general, worker exploitation, and Afghanistan.

(UNCUT) The CNN RON CLARK ACADEMY HEALTH CARE REFORM SONG – FULL VERSION

August 29, 2010 - 4:11 pm 25 Comments

2 (UNCUT) The CNN RON CLARK ACADEMY HEALTH CARE REFORM SONG FULL VERSIONRon Clark Academy students write a song their take on health care reform to the tune of Miley Cyrus’ ‘Party in the U.S.A.’ on CNN.

Lyrics:
Got paged in the morning at 5am
Time to go into work again.
Welcome to the world of medicine,
Whoa, here we go again.
The hospital’s packed with people in a long line
Agitated cause we’ve waited for a long time.
This is all so crazy, too many missing coverage lately

My tummy’s turning and I’m feeling kinda sickly
My hip’s bad and I feel weak
And the prices are always raising up.
Conservatives and liberals say
To reform healthcare today
But they can’t seem to find a way.

So we throw our hands up for healthcare reform
Make your choice today.
Private and public care
Will a marketplace treat us fair?

So we throw our hands up for healthcare reform
Make your choice today.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It’s a problem in the USA.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It’s a problem in the USA.

Obama says everyone needs
Health coverage in America now.
We need to insure those 47 million
But the government doesn’t know how.
Deductibles getting higher every day
I got my bill and I’m thinking NO way.
And what about my brother?
He’s hurt and can’t get covered.

My tummy’s turning and I’m feeling kinda worried
Capricious coverage is killing me.
That’s when a doctor said, “You’ll have to go.”
Bipartisan support was tried so we wouldn’t be denied
But Joe Wilson yelled, “You lie!”

Obama Talks Health Care in Chicago

August 29, 2010 - 4:02 pm 14 Comments

2 Obama Talks Health Care in Chicagohttp://www.politico.com/news/stories/0709/25368.html

President Obama left the Cleveland area and an afternoon of health care reform events for two Democratic National Committee fundraisers in Chicago, where he struck a defensive and at times defiant tone about his top priority.

After touching down in his home city for the first time in more than five months, Obama first attended a $15,200-a-person dinner at the Lincoln Park home his campaign fundraiser Penny Pritzker, where he took a shot at the media for what he deemed its “lack of sustained focus on the facts” concerning health care reform, which he said “makes it very difficult” for him.

Then he moved on to an event at the Hyatt Regency, where he defiantly told a crowd of about 750 donors, “We are going to pass health care reform in 2009.”

And he used the backdrop of the street-fighter politics that define his home city to fire back at his Republican critics one of whom, Sen. Jim DeMint, he said has told the GOP that defeating health care reform would break Obama.

Let me tell you something,” Obama said. “I’m from Chicago. I don’t break.”

Obama tried to put the best face on the setback to his reform plans he was dealt Thursday, when Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s announcement Thursday “So even though we still have a few issues to work out, what’s remarkable about this point is not how far we have left to go, it’s how far we’ve already come.”

“I understand how easy it is for folks in Washington to become consumed by the game of politics.”

He did his fair share of criticizing Washington and “the status quo” on health care, and declared the country to be “at an unmistakable crossroad.”

“There’s some in Washington who want us to go down the path that we’ve already traveled for the last decade or so,” Obama said, “the path where we just throw up our hands and say, ‘Oh this is just too tough.’”

Earlier Obama worked a room of over 100 people and posed for pictures at Pritzker’s home, where guests nibbled on gazpacho shooters and watermelon salad.

He told the donors that opposition to his health care reform bill health care bill “gets on my nerves. It frustrates me that we’d even be suggesting the status quo is the best we can do.”

He also praised his administration, saying that it had “reset relations not just with Russia” but with the world.

“Anti-Americanism is no longer fashionable,” he said.

He made similar statements at the Hyatt fundraiser, where he also credited his administration with being able to “pull the economy back from the brink.”

The Hyatt event was billed as a “Welcome Home” reception, where Obama met the coach and quarterback of the Chicago Bears — Lovie Smith and Jay Cutler — as well as retired Chicago Bulls point guard, B.J. Armstrong, and Tracy McGrady of the Houston Rockets.

“I’m honored to be a part of the welcoming group to welcome home my favorite son,” Smith told the crowd. “I have the audacity of hope that the Chicago Bears will some day be visiting the White House giving the president a Chicago Bears football to toss around on the South Lawn.”

Obama was basking in a sports glow after his favorite baseball team pitched a perfect game, and said somebody asked him which was a bigger deal: the White Sox’s perfect game or the DOW going over 9,000.

“And I said I promise you, I promise you, a perfect game,” Obama said, “That’s big.”

The president wrapped himself in the hometown welcome. Some of the first words he spoke during remarks at the Hyatt were, “It’s good to be home.”

“It has now been six months since Michelle and Sasha and Malia and Marian Robinson, my mother-in-law, said goodbye and moved into a nice little spot in Washington D.C.,” Obama said. “And we arrived there at an incredibly difficult moment in this country’s history.”

At one point in his remarks a woman yelled, “Give ‘em hell, Barack.”

Obama reiterated his pitch that “health insurance reform” is not just about the uninsured — although he said helping them is “a moral imperative” — but about lowering costs and increasing quality for Americans who have coverage.

The two events are expected to raise as much as $3 million for the DNC.

Obama’s universal healthcare Plan incites mass murder? If true then Obama MUST BE STOPPED!!

August 29, 2010 - 1:37 pm 25 Comments

2 Obamas universal healthcare Plan incites mass murder? If true then Obama MUST BE STOPPED!!http://www.uswgo.com/

Obama’s universal healthcare Plan incites mass murder? If true then Obama MUST BE STOPPED!!

In fact heres the parts of the HC Bill text that could be used for mass murder:

Pg 22 of the HC Bill mandates the Government will audit books of all employers that self insure.

Pg 30 Sec 123 of HC bill a Government committee (good luck with that!) will decide what treatments/benefits a person may receive.

Pg 29 lines 4-16 in the HC bill YOUR HEALTHCARE WILL BE RATIONED!

Pg 42 of HC Bill The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your HC Benefits for you.

PG 50 Section 152 in HC bill HC will be provided to ALL non US citizens, illegal or otherwise.

Pg 58 HC Bill Government will have real-time access to individual’s finances and a National ID Healthcard will be issued!

Pg 59 HC Bill lines 21-24 Government will have direct access to your bank accts for funds transfer.

PG 65 Sec 164 is a payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in Unions & community organizations (read: ACORN).

Pg 72 Lines 8-14 Government will create an HC Exchange to bring private HC plans under Government control.

PG 91 Lines 4-7 HC Bill Government mandates linguistic appropriate services. Example Translation for illegal aliens.

Pg 95 HC Bill Lines 8-18 The Government will use groups, i.e. ACORN & Americorps, to sign up individuals for Government HC plan.

PG 85 Line 7 HC Bill Specifics of Benefit Levels for Plans. AARP members your Health care WILL be rationed.

PG 102 Lines 12-18 HC Bill Medicaid Eligible Individuals will be automatically enrolled in Medicaid. No choice.

pg 124 lines 24-25 HC No company can sue Government on price fixing. No “judicial review” against Government Monopoly.

pg 127 Lines 1-16 HC Bill Doctors/ AMA The Government will tell YOU what you can earn.

Pg 145 Line 15-17 An Employer MUST auto enroll employees into public option plan. NO CHOICE.

Pg 126 Lines 22-25 Employers MUST pay for HC for part time employees AND their families.

Pg 170 Lines 1-3 HC Bill Any NONRESIDENT Alien is exempt from individual taxes. (Americans will pay.)

Pg 195 HC Bill -officers & employees of HC Admin (the GOVERNMENT) will have access to ALL Americans’ finances and personal records.

PG 203 Line 14-15 HC “The tax imposed under this section shall not be treated as tax” Yes, it says that.

Pg 239 Line 14-24 HC Bill Government will reduce physician services for Medicaid. Seniors, low income, poor affected.

Pg 241 Line 6-8 HC Bill Doctors doesn’t matter what specialty will all be paid the same.

PG 253 Line 10-18 Government sets value of Doctor’s time, professional judgment, etc. Literally, value of humans.

PG 265 Sec 1131 Government mandates & controls productivity for private HC industries.

Pg 317 L 13-20 OMG!! PROHIBITION on ownership/investment. Government tells Doctors what/how much they can own.

Pg 317-318 lines 21-25,1-3 PROHIBITION on expansion Government will mandate hospitals cannot expand.

Pg 354 Sec 1177 Government will RESTRICT enrollment of Special needs people!

PG 425 Lines 4-12 Government mandates Advance Care Planning Consultations. Think Senior Citizens end of life prodding.

PG 425 Lines 22-25, 426 Lines 1-3 Government provides approved list of end of life resources, guiding you in how to die.

PG 427 Lines 15-24 Government mandates program for orders for end of life. The Government has a say in how your life ends.

PG 429 Lines 10-12 “advanced care consultation” may include an ORDER for end of life plans. AN ORDER from the Government to end a life!

Page 472 Lines 14-17 PAYMENT TO COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION. 1 monthly payment to a community-based organization. (Like ACORN?)

So Barack Hussein Obama may be committing mass murder because it will be cheaper to commit suicide then treating cancer on one tax paying citizen so it may be more worth it to just kill the cancer patient which is mass murder since there’s many cancer patients. Also Obama is all for murdering infants or infanticide of children up to 2 years old so if the parent doesn’t want the child he/she may be thrown in a dumpster to die or left in a room without food and water. Obama is a mass murderer and thats what his healthcare plan is all about. I am not paid by the insurance companies, I am NOT a nazi, I am a American citizen and I care about peoples health and am into alternative treatments/cures. I am tired of healthcare being about causing suffering instead of healing people and Obamas government healthcare will make things worse for us because he will force bad a cheaper treatments that may cause death and we may not be allowed to sue the government for bad healthcare products forced on us.

Speaker Pelosi and President Obama admit JAIL is “fair” for not buying insurance – 11-9-09

August 29, 2010 - 3:01 am 25 Comments

2 Speaker Pelosi and President Obama admit JAIL is fair for not buying insurance 11 9 09During a press conference at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Nancy Pelosi skirted a surprise question, twice. The questions pertained to 5-year jail terms and $250,000 fines for those refusing to buy health insurance under her plan. However, she did say her plan was “fair”.

Choice??? According to HR 3962, buy insurance or go to jail. Such “choice” is standard under dictatorships, is this tyranny the “change” that voters hoped for? Of course not.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, was in Seattle on Monday, November 9, 2009 where she joined Democratic Reps. Jay Inslee, Jim McDermott and Norman Dicks in a tour of Swedish Medical Center. Pelosi’s visit came less than 48 hours after the U.S. House of Representatives passed the massive and short-sighted “Affordable Health Care for America Act” bill by a very narrow margin, 220-215. Pelosi needed at least 218 votes for passage.

The closed door meetings and their partisan Democrat scheme worked despite the obvious will of the People as a Rasmussen poll found that 57% Americans opposed while only 41% approved government run health care. By all accounts, this bill should have died. However, the Stupak amendment revived it at the promise of removing funding for abortions, which we all know can be reversed later on. The Stupak amendment to HR 3962 was proposed and approved in the House of Representatives on November 7, 2009. Here are more details about the amendment:

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/66969-se…

Pelosi was recently asked another question that she could not answer. She was asked where in the Constitution does it give government the right to run health care. Her snarky answer was simply; are you serious, are you serious? Yes, we patriots are serious; just ask us what we think of more government intrusion in our lives, this being an egregious one that will snatch 1/6th of the US economy from the private sector and in total making government in charge of about half of the entire economy. The more this reckless government strays away from the guidelines set by our Founding Fathers, the less freedom we are left with.

Liberty will die and so will patients under this sort of health care reform. Like in Canada and much of socialist Europe, patients needlessly die waiting weeks or months for life saving surgeries. And in our case, Washington bureaucrats will make decisions for you and your doctor based on cost effective procedures. That is where rationing and cost savings will offset the massive fraud, waste and abuse that government is infamous for. It is a good thing that Congress, with their 240 millionaires, will be spared the rationed care they impose of the American public.

This legislation must be stopped at all expense, as the Senate will soon vote on it. Our Liberty and quality of health care depends on our success in stopping this reckless government and their radical and destructive agenda. Their narrow-minded approach to destroying the best health care on Earth only to reform it is based on deceptive tactics and exploitation of the American people. It must be done NOW, however not implemented until 2013. Therefore, the negative fallout will not play a role in possibly reelecting our leftist president.

*The same day that Pelosi ducked the jail question, President Obama also danced around a similar question posed by White House press staff Jake Tapper. Mr. Tapper also had to ask the question twice and met with a condescending, “I’m not sure that’s the biggest question they’re asking right now”. The audio portion of the Obama interview follows the Pelosi press conference.

Please call, email, or visit your Senator and urge them to vote NO, before its too late! Once implemented this government plan, like all other entitlement programs, is permanent and will cost at least 3x the projections, totaling over $3 Trillion…of deficit spending!
Furthermore, they talk about “subsidies” and they really mean redistribution of wealth. Karl Marx said, “To each according to his need, from each according to his ability”. The have some “moral” obligation to steal from those who are productive and distribute to those who don’t produce much if any to society. This is not government’s role, they think it’s charity, but last time I checked charity was to be given, not taken by a rule by fear government with a “mandate”. This health care “debate” is not about health or care, it’s about CONTROL.

Also, this press conference was not announced publicly. And the protest against Pelosi-care was organized with only 3-hours advance notice. The speaker obviously didn’t want to draw hundreds or thousands to protest her visit.

Contrary to pro health care talking points; not everyone drives a car and buying auto insurance IS still an option, health insurance should be too; its called individual freedom and (real) choice. According to our Constitution, which protects Liberty, government shall be limited, not expanded and intrusive into every facet of our lives. This health care “debate” is not really about health nor care, it’s about CONTROL.
